When Kansans learn the truth about TABOR and TELs, they quickly realize how such measures would negatively impact our school system, our health care system and our economy. Armed with the facts, it's difficult to understand why anyone would support such radical measures that jeopardize the Kansas way of life and the long-term stability of our communities.
Here's what you can do to help protect the Kansas way of life and promote statewide awareness of the negative impacts of TABOR and TELs:
- Learn more about TELs, TABOR and the affects of such measures on states and communities. You can start learning more on this Web site.
- Join the Coalition for a Prosperous Kansas. The Coalition was formed to be the organized opposition to TABOR attempts in Kansas and other measures that would limit the ability of elected leaders to make critical and timely decisions about our state and our communities. You can join the Coalition - as either an organization, a business or an individual - by completing our online commitment form.
- Contact the Fiscal Focus Initiative to arrange for a complimentary presentation to your group or organization about TABOR and TELs.
- Write a letter to your local media outlets to share the consequences of TELs and TABOR.
- Express your concerns about TABOR or TELs by contacting your local or state elected officials.
